During Zeid’s trip to Madrid in April 2024, he and Daniel Nuñez decided to do a weekend in Màlaga along with a Colombian art collector. The trio took an early train and were greeted by the Yusto-Giner Gallery team upon arrival. After visiting several art shows, museums and openings they explored the nightlife of the city. At one of the cafés, Zeid recognized an artist he was chatting with on Instagram, Ana Pavon Porràs. He was surprised to see her and learn that Màlaga is her hometown, as the social media chat was mostly centered on a potential collaboration at Août Gallery.

Nevertheless, the gallerist felt the meeting to be fated, and so it was decided that Ana would have her solo exhibition at Août’s second space in Mar Mikhail at 119 Rue Pharaon in the month of September. Lovemeloveme is the first completed diptych that will be part of the exhibition.

Ana Pavón Porras
(Coín, 1996)

Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Malaga (2018), where she also completed the Master in Interdisciplinary Artistic Production (2019).

She has exhibited individually with thelyglossos (Espacio Cero, Málaga, 2024), I Spit Even Honey (NANZUKA 2G by AKIINOUE, Tokio), Ideario (We Collect Gallery, Hotel Arts Barcelona, 2024), [Fr.147P] (CAC Málaga, 2023), Eidyllium. Poema Breve (Museum of Cádiz, 2023), Los misterios del gineceo (Exhibition Hall of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Malaga, 2022), Idyllium (Exhibition Hall of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Granada, 2022) and Peithò (V.E.S Art Gallery Granada, 2022). She has been awarded a scholarship by the Inciarte Program (2023) and by the Antonio Gala Foundation for Young Creators (2020), she has obtained the First Prize in MalagaCrea Artes Visuales (2024) and the Third Prize in MalagaCrea Artes Visuales (2021), she was awarded in the Painting Category of the Plastic Arts Contest for the Hotel Four Seasons Madrid (2018) and, with Second Prize, in the I Painting Competition of the Sierra Elvira Foundation (2018).
