BIOGRAPHY

Ronald Hall (born in Pennsylvania, US, 1967) graduated high school for the Creative and Performing Arts, Pittsburgh,1985, and studied at both the  Art Institute of Pittsburgh,  1988 and Skowhegan School of Painting And Sculpture, Skowhegan, MN – 2016. His art offers a different perspective on contemporary black art.

Hall utilizes his paintings as means of information and education, portraying the injustices that African-American people have faced, and are still facing today. His work depicts both fictional and non-fictional narratives, that “challenge the viewers interpretation of what contemporary black art is” (Ronald Hall).

Currently, the artist resides in Brooklyn. He continues to work on new projects, while also being enrolled in the Studio Program at the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts.
