BIOGRAPHY

Mona Broschár studied painting and printmaking at the Academy of visual Arts in Leipzig and the Camberwell College of Arts in London. In her paintings Broschár focuses on everyday encounters. At first glance, her motives may seem playful, but this is precisely where she locates their provocation. In the reduced pictorial worlds, Broschár confronts the supposedly harmonious favor with its abysmal and gloomy downside: the voluptuousness of human desires. She is currently based in Leipzig, Germany.
